To succeed in the model industry today takes skill. Long gone are the days when a tall, toned body and perfectly symmetrical face would guarantee work let alone, fame. Although perfection is welcomed, cutting edge editorials and magazines are looking for that little bit more these days.

Stephen James has five core values that are paramount to SJ company culture. We celebrate them by including examples demonstrated by staff in our weekly business update to emphasise that the values are not just a tick-box exercise. Providing genuine care for our people in return for high performance. Putting others first is heavily ingrained in Stephen James culture. Putting ourselves in the customers' shoes, providing the best possible service.
We are deeply saddened to share that longtime Trustee Stephen James Lovell passed away on Friday, August 9th, , surrounded by love and family. He settled in Kona, Hawaii where, while sitting on the beach during an eclipse, he met his soul mate, Jayne Dunford, and they began to live a lifelong love song. Stephen is survived by his wife; his siblings Ann, Robert and Sara; seven nieces and nephews, and three great-nieces. Stephen made many contributions to the Foundation over the past 25 years, but probably his biggest was his commitment to stand up for the legacy of his parents, articulating what they would have wanted the Foundation to be and become. As anyone in philanthropy knows, this is not always a popular stance to take, and it took great courage and compassion for Stephen to hold steady to that course, while showing understanding and kindness to everyone involved. That was the core of his legacy, which continues to serve the Foundation on a daily basis as our philanthropy grows in size and complexity. The Lovell Foundation Trustees, staff, consultants and friends wish to express our deepest sympathy to the Lovell Family.
